A portion of sod from Busch Stadium’s field, removed to accommodate the U2 concert stage, now graces the athletic fields and school perimeter of the new Westminster Christian Academy campus in Town and Country.
The sod is just one example of the meticulous attention to detail that went into designing and building the $70 million campus, which will open next month.
The word “big” only begins to describe the new Westminster Christian Academy.
A 2,000-seat arena, two smaller gyms and an eight-lane swimming pool. Two theaters, a 400-seat cafe and a hundred classrooms. And the list goes on.
The 320,000-square-foot school is among the St. Louis area’s largest recent construction projects. Initial enrollment will exceed 900 – up from 872 last year – but the school can accommodate 1,200 students in grades seven through 12.
The $70 million school, scheduled to open for classes Aug. 22, has been a boost to the area’s struggling construction industry. The privately financed development has provided 14 months of much-needed work for more than 150 people employed by project manager Brinkmann Constructors and its subcontractors.

Westminster Christian Academy is making the move from Creve Coeur to its new Town and Country campus this weekend.
After months of construction, Westminster’s new location is ready for furniture and staff. Westminster is moving locations from 10900 Ladue Road to 800 Maryville Centre Dr. in Town and Country.
The building will not be the only new thing at Westminster Christian Academy when it opens its doors Aug. 22 at 800 Maryville Center Drive in Town & Country. The students will also have a new dress code, they will be eating healthier food, and their teachers will be using new technology that turns any wall or flat surface into an interactive whiteboard.

Our time at the Ladue Road campus is finally drawing to a close. The Walk of Faith was a beautiful celebration of God’s blessing through the history of Westminster. Journalists across our region have been reporting on the last graduation at the Ladue Road campus, our last day of classes and our last baseball game.
As the completion of construction draws near for the new Westminster, we turn our focus to the “firsts.” The first day of work at the new campus will occur this summer, the first day of school will be in August; and so many other firsts – events, games, and performances – are to come.
As Jim Marsh shared in his recent letter to all our generous supporters, the future is now, and the goal isn’t just to complete construction. The goal isn’t just to have exciting “firsts” in a new campus. The goal isn’t just to be able to manage a long-term debt.
We must keep the main thing the main thing. For Westminster this means we will become better before bigger, say yes to enrolling Christian families, and invest in great people, great programs, and great facilities, and make decisions that keep us financially strong as a ministry for generations to come.
The future is now and here is what I need you to hear from me:
We continually praise God for His blessings and provision through you. As Westminster embarks on this new chapter, each of us should marvel at the phenomenon of God moving through His people. Thank you for your prayers, your heart for Westminster, and your generous love and support.
